About River Cauvery
Kaveri, is one of the most revered and prominent rivers in India. It originates in the Western Ghats of Karnataka and flows through the southern states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu before finally emptying into the Bay of Bengal. The Cauvery River is much more than a geographical watercourse; it is a vital lifeline, a symbol of cultural significance, and an ecological treasure. The River Kaveri is considered holy in Hinduism and holds a special place in the hearts of devotees. Many temples and religious sites are located along its banks particularly in the states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Taking a dip in the Kaveri is believed to purify the soul, and it is a common practice for pilgrims to perform rituals and prayers on its shores.
