Around the year 2010, at the age of 10, I joined this school. At that time, I was quite a reserved and introverted child. And, I think, I was 17 years old when I left the school in 2017. But, I can confidently say that these seven years have enriched me in ways that are difficult to put into words. This school not only equipped me with educational knowledge but also provided a fertile ground for personal growth. It was within these walls that I discovered how to explore and understand myself, cultivating a sense of discipline and confidence that has been transformative. I can vividly recall the moments when we had to grasp the mic, facing a sea of faces with trembling hands and shaky legs. The only thing that would run in my head was that what if I mess up? As time passed, it played a crucial role in my growth and learning, making me better with each passing day.
Little did we realise it back then, that the teachers were trying to prep us for the larger world. And so they did. Now, as I reminisce about the years spent in school, I can’t help but wish for a chance to relive those days once more. The invaluable lessons and experiences I gained at this school are truly priceless, and I find myself forever indebted for the growth and development it nurtured within me.

A school is a place where a child is moulded into a citizen. It is a place where one learns discipline and builds a good character. A school is your home and IHS is my home.
I am Vidushi Kaushal, a student of the Indian Heritage School (class X batch of 2018-19). Currently, I am pursuing B.Sc. Chemistry honors from Panjab University, Chandigarh. I spent a decade at this institution and I will forever be grateful to all the teachers for building me into the human I am today.
I remember being so shy when I was young, I could hardly speak my name when asked. I faced my fear and instilled the courage to speak up, all thanks to IHS and the madatory public speaking sessions in the morning assembly.
From interactive classroom lessons and debate competitions to marching together on the parade ground, to singing in unison for the choir, IHS emphasizes on all round development of each student. IHS is truly a unique experience. It is the place where I grew up and learnt the most crucial lessons of life. I owe all my little wins to this school. It is indeed a privilege to be an “IHS-ian”.
